Version 4.5 Options Include 30-Day Free Trial of OmniSci Enterprise Edition,Open Source Option for Community Users, and Expanded Options for OmniSci Cloud
SAN FRANCISCO – (February 21, 2019) – OmniSci, the pioneer in GPU-accelerated analytics, today announced the availability of version 4.5 of OmniSci, the breakthrough platform that is redefining speed and scale in big data querying and visualization. In addition to recently-added performance improvements, version 4.5 offers three new options that enable both first-time and existing users to experience big data analytics at the speed of curiosity:
- A free, 30-day trial of the full-featured OmniSci Enterprise edition;
- A downloadable open source edition of OmniSci Core, the world’s fastest and most advanced open source GPU database;
- An expanded set of single-user and team options for OmniSci Cloud, including support for API-based access.
With the new usage options, the OmniSci platform is more accessible and easier to adopt, for more users, than ever before. Open source users will appreciate the ability to easily implement OmniSci Core without having to download the entire product or build from source code. The open source edition is offered in standard Advanced Package Tool and Yum repositories for easy management.
OmniSci Enterprise, through its new 30-day free trial, can be downloaded in its entirety for on-premise or public cloud installation. Recently enhanced with a number of improvements that provide faster performance, security, and geospatial capabilities, the platform enables analysts and data scientists to dramatically increase speed and frequency of decision-making in big data analytics.
“The addition of these new access options is in keeping with our mission to make the power of GPU-accelerated analytics available to everyone. Developers can use our open source Core GPU database to accelerate their own applications and smaller teams can access our self-service Cloud offering,” said Venkat Krishnamurthy, Vice President of Product Management. “Larger organizations that require direct support and additional enterprise features are now able to easily run a trial of the full Enterprise edition, either on-premise or in a public cloud.”
